โก Common Display Refresh Rates
- 60 Hz (16.67ms per frame): Standard for general laptops, business monitors, and desktop screens.
- 90 Hz (11.11ms per frame): Common on modern productivity displays and ultrabooks for smoother scrolling.
- 120 Hz / 144 Hz (8.33ms / 6.94ms): High refresh rate standard for ProMotion screens, MacBooks, and gaming monitors.
- 240 Hz / 360 Hz (4.16ms / 2.77ms): Esports grade monitors for competitive latency reduction.
โ Why is my 144Hz monitor showing 60Hz?
If your monitor supports 120Hz or 144Hz but this tool reads 60Hz:
- Windows Settings: Open Settings โ System โ Display โ Advanced Display โ Choose a refresh rate.
- macOS Settings: Open System Settings โ Displays โ Refresh Rate dropdown.
- Cable Limitation: Older HDMI 1.4 cables only support 1080p at 60Hz; use DisplayPort or HDMI 2.0+ for high refresh rate.
